This Privacy Policy explains how Cherry Song ("we," "us," "the Platform") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use cherrysong.online, including our songwriter dashboard, buyer dashboard, and checkout services.

We built Cherry Song to be a trustworthy place for songwriters and buyers to do business, and that starts with being transparent about how we handle your data.

2. Data We Collect

To moderate uploaded content and prevent fraud or copyright violations
To improve the Platform based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not use your personal data to train external AI models, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Sharing Your Data

We share limited data only where necessary to operate the Platform:

With other users: Your display name and (for songwriters) bio/portfolio are visible to buyers browsing the marketplace
With payment processors: Paystack receives transaction details necessary to process payments and payouts
With our infrastructure providers: Supabase (database/storage) and Render (hosting) process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
With law enforcement: Only where legally required, such as in response to a valid court order

We never share your password, full payment card details, or private messages with any third party for marketing purposes.

5. Payment Data

All card payments are processed directly by Paystack, a licensed payment processor. Cherry Song does not store your full card number, CVV, or expiry date on our servers.

For songwriter payouts, we store your bank account number and account name solely to facilitate transfers via Paystack's Transfer API. This information is encrypted at rest.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

Cherry Song uses browser local storage (not third-party tracking cookies) to:

Keep you signed in between visits
Remember your detected or selected currency
Improve page load performance

We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell browsing data to ad networks.

7. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized Cherry Song personnel only, and database access policies (Row Level Security) ensure users can only access their own private data.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Cherry Song account.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
Delete your account and associated personal data, subject to legal retention requirements for completed transactions
Export your data in a portable format upon request
Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

9. Children's Privacy

Cherry Song is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will take steps to delete that account and associated data.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on the Platform before they take effect.
